LEARNING
Nothing! Our teachers will meet you at your level...even if that's the ground floor.
- your weekly lesson(s)
- around 4-6 practice sessions (just a few minutes long in the beginning)
- listening and enjoying music.
We’ll work with you to find the best time. It will be the same time and day every week, except during our breaks.
Your teacher will help you know what to practice and how to practice.
To help lock in new skills, practice as soon as you can after the lesson. Practice another four or five times a week after that to make assignments easier and more fun.
Practices may be short in the beginning–maybe only five or ten minutes. As your skills and endurance increase, so will your practice time.
A good rule of thumb is to practice the same length as your weekly lesson, five to seven times a week. This works well for players past the early beginner stage who have an established practice habit.
Advanced players may practice as many as four or five hours a day. These students are aspiring to excellence and may be working on scales, studies, and orchestra or choir music along with their performance repertoire.
TUITION
Please see our tuition page.
Not at this time.
We offer a few need-based scholarships. These come with practice contracts. Contact us for more information.

Feel free to take advantage of our makeup weeks, currently held once a term.
Teachers who need to reschedule a lesson will do their best to let you know ahead of time. In emergencies, someone will let you know as soon as possible.
If no mutual time is available for a makeup lesson, your teacher will hire a substitute. You will never be asked to forfeit a lesson because the teacher had to miss.
