Adults are always welcome to sit in on the lessons of the students they bring. For your safety, all our teachers have undergone background checks.


Elise Bernhard
All-Around Music, Ukulele, Voice Elise is co-founder of Bella Voce, an LSU vocal group. She also manages the LSU's choral program’s social media. Mrs. Elise is passionate about music education. She loves meeting new students and creating new ways to discover music!!

Christopher Cunningham
Piano, Voice English, French, SpanishMr. Cunningham began studying piano at age 7. He is an award-winning performer and teacher. Also a composer, he has a variety of experience in collaborative music and education.

Jason Hartley
Guitar, Ukulele Jason was so taken with BB King, he started to play guitar. He formed his own band, went on national tours, and recorded albums. He then went on to earn several college degrees. Today he teaches and performs widely.

Rodney King
Piano Baker, Baton RougeA passionate and experienced music educator, Mr. King began his musical career as a boy by playing at church. He has since served as conductor, accompanist, and choir president. He is an inspiring and beloved teacher.

Sam Kohler
Bass, Composition, Guitar, Piano, Violin Sam is a composer and multi-instrumentalist. Currently he serves as Director of Music at Trinity Episcopal Church. He has taught at Baltimore School of Music and Make Music NOLA. He studied composition at Peabody.

Eric Liffmann
Guitar, Ukulele English, SpanishEric is a Baton Rouge native with over 20 years experience teaching. He has a Master of Music degree with an emphasis on classical guitar performance.

Alice Muller
Piano, Special Needs,Violin, Viola Alice has traveled the world with orchestras from different countries. With degrees in performance and composition, they have won prestigious competitions and continue to share their knowledge and passion through teaching.

Maria Ortega
Cello English, SpanishMaria is a Venezuelan cellist engaged with social impact. She developed technical and musical knowledge and learned approaches and teaching techniques in the “El Sistema” program.

Johan Pepper
Violin, Viola English, Spanish With a doctorate in Violin Performance with a minor in Composition, Johan brings a rich orchestral background to his work and has won many awards. He is passionate about teaching.

Anna Stanley
Piano, Violin, Viola
Baker, Baton RougeAnna plays with Baton Rouge Symphony, Acadiana Symphony, and Rapides Symphony. Students love her for her patience and creativity.

Frank Tirado
Violin, Viola English, SpanishFrank’s music career started in Venezuela through El Sistema. He has a Masters of Music degree and has been teaching and playing professionally since 2008.

Celeste Veillon
Voice, FluteCeleste’s mesmerizing performances and unforgettable voice have captivated audiences across the country. To her, music is a spiritual language that uplifts and connects people with God.
